The works on the road bridge at Noss on Dart Marina are underway and will see the widening and strengthening of the road bridge to extend the weight capacity of the bridge to 45 tons. This will enable larger vessels to arrive and depart the South Coast marina on transport to and from other locations. This project represents an investment of just over £700,000 and is a key element in unlocking the future of Noss on Dart Marina. After the introduction and opening of the pedestrian bridge in 2017, this is the second major element in Noss on Dart Marina’s development by Premier Marinas.
General Manager at Noss on Dart Marina, Andy Osman, said: “We are delighted to have secured planning approval for site clearance and enlargement of the existing woodland car park and the creation of a new woodland car park to the north of the access road which will ultimately create up to 147 car parking spaces. This will provide additional car parking for berth holders, tenants and the contractors whilst the road bridge is closed.”
