Weather and Tidal Data

Dinghy Storage

Owners with river moorings can store their dinghies in the dedicated area on the main pontoon. Rubber dinghies are stored in a rack, with hard dinghies laid on the pontoon. Owners wishing to keep their dighies afloat will need to apply for an additional mooring.

Storage Ashore

Our boat storage areas have room for about 400 boats on hard standing. Each storage space is near water and electrical outlets. After lifting out and transporting to the boat parks, vessels are carefully chocked with braced supports so that masts do not have to be removed.

Crane and Boat Transporter

Boats of up to 10 tonnes in weight and with a beam of up to 3.9 metres can be lifted by our crane. We also have a transporter which is used to move boats to and from the crane for winter storage, etc. The transporter is equipped with pads which can be hydraulically adjusted to suit any hull. When in position, boats are lowered from the trailer for safe chocking on the ground and the trailer is then moved from beneath the boat.

Qualified Berthing Staff

All staff hold the RYA level 2 power boat qualification and have VHF licences. Four staff have the certificate for the Intermediate Marina Management Course. Two are qualified first aiders and three hold the appointed persons emergency aid certificate. All Berthing Staff have certificates from Transplant in the use of cranes, boat transporter and slinging and signalling.

Lifebuoys and fire extinguishers are placed at strategic positions along the pontoons. Children and non-swimmers should always wear lifejackets in and around the marina and when on the water. Noss Marina has introduced a set of Safety Guidlines which can be found   HERE
