To the east of Dartmouth Brixham is home to one of the largest fishing fleets in the country where fishing boats,tripboats and yachts cheerfully intermingle.
On leaving the Dart leave the Mewstone to port and make for Berry Head with its dramatic steep face. Brixham is just around the corner and the enterance to the harbour can be identified by the prominent light on the end of the breakwater. You can moor up in Brixham marina or alogside the Town Quay when space is available. There are also some berths on the Brixham Yacht Club pontoons which are to be found just below theclubhouse.
Brixham is a very lively holiday town which has a number of shops, resturants and pubs. It would be very remiss of the visiting yachtsperson to leave without sampling the local delicacy of fish and chips which is available from a number of emporia!
