Page 2 of 5. National Trust gardens

There are two National Trust managed gardens nearby. Greenway, once the home of Agatha Christie, and Coleton Fishacre, created by Rupert and Lady Dorothy D’Oyly Carte in the 1920s.

Greenway comprises a glorious wooded garden on the banks of the Dart containing an important collection of trees and shrubs. Visitors are encouraged to visit by "green ways", i.e., from the river or by walking rather than by car along the narrow roads.

Coleton Fishacre can be reached by a short car journey from Noss, or along the South West Coast Path from Kingswear. The splendid gardens contain rare and exotic plants in a steep valley with views out to sea. You can also visit the house with its elegant Art Deco-influenced interior.
