Based on your boat in our marina or on one of our moorings, you can ex- plore the many attractions of the South Hams as a change from seagoing. There is much to appeal to walkers, gardeners, nature lovers, or children. And you are never far from a Devon cream tea or a welcoming village pub.

View of our marina and moorings from the Dart Valley Trail on the Greenway Estate

Footpaths with magnificent views abound in the local area. The Dart Valley Trail from Kingswear to Greenway passes Noss Marina. The walk to Greenway takes you through the woods and then past spectacular views of the river. From the Greenway Quay you can take a small ferry across the river to Dittisham where you can have a pub lunch. If energetic you can follow the Dart Valley Trail on that side of the river to the head of Old Mill Creek and then on to Dartmouth.

The South West Coast Path – looking towards Blackpool Sands and beyond to the entrance to Dartmouth Harbour

There are some splendid sections of the South West Coast Path close by. The walk from Kingswear to Coleton Fishacre along the coast takes you close by the Mew Stone off the harbour entrance with views across Start Bay to Start Point. On the other side of the river, you can do a circular walk from Dartmouth Castle along the coast path to Little Dartmouth near Stoke Fleming and then back along a more direct bridle path. An attractive new section of the South West Coast Path was opened in 2005: between Strete and Blackpool Sands.

If you have transport to take you a bit further afield, then Dartmoor beckons where the wild moorland presents a striking contrast to life afloat.
